Serena’s career has always been centered around creating meaningful experiences for people. A Miami native, she began her professional journey in hospitality, working in hotels and events around the world while pursuing her Master’s degree in Hospitality Management. Her studies and international experiences across Europe, Costa Rica, and China helped shape her focus on customer experience and human connection.
Her passion for coffee eventually led her into the specialty coffee industry, where she worked with cafés and wholesale roasters throughout South Florida. Along the way, Serena gained experience in café operations, leadership and training, sales and marketing, and green coffee trading. She quickly discovered that coffee offered the perfect intersection of hospitality, relationship building, and global trade.
At StoneX Specialty Coffee, Serena brings together her passion for people, coffee, and collaboration while supporting every stage of the supply chain. She is especially inspired by the industry’s ability to connect communities across the world through shared experiences and partnerships.
Outside of work, Serena is deeply committed to supporting refugee communities in Miami and helping families rebuild after displacement caused by war or political uncertainty. In her free time, she enjoys exploring nature with her two dogs, Alfred and Robin, discovering new restaurants, attending concerts of every genre, and embracing her love for classic 90s television.
