Lotus Da Lat

Named after Vietnam's national flower, the Lotus symbolizes purity, resilience, and enduring beauty—qualities that are reflected in the exceptional coffees grown in the country's Central Highlands. As part of the StoneX Specialty Coffee Flower Series, Lotus celebrates a side of Vietnam that many specialty coffee drinkers have yet to discover.

While Vietnam is best known as the world's largest producer of Robusta coffee, the highlands of Cầu Đất in Đà Lạt have earned a reputation for producing some of the country's finest Arabica. StoneX Specialty Coffee works closely with trusted producing partners to maintain quality throughout every stage of production, offering one of the few specialty Arabica programs in the region with oversight from harvest through export.

Coffee is grown between 1,400 and 1,600 meters above sea level, where cool year-round temperatures and rich volcanic soils provide ideal conditions for slow cherry maturation and exceptional cup quality. First introduced by the French in the mid-1800s, coffee has since become an integral part of the region, with generations of Vietnamese smallholder farmers cultivating farms that typically range from one to three hectares. Rather than processing coffee on the farm, producers deliver freshly harvested cherries to centralized wet mills, where the coffee is carefully pulped, fermented, and washed using modern Penagos equipment to ensure consistency and quality.

After drying, the coffee is stored in the cool climate of Đà Lạt before being hulled and transported to Ho Chi Minh City. There, it is held in a climate-controlled warehouse prior to export, preserving freshness throughout its journey from origin.

The result is a clean, expressive cup that challenges expectations of Vietnamese coffee, showcasing the elegance, balance, and craftsmanship that define the country's emerging specialty coffee landscape.
