A commitment to quality begins with a vision. In 2012, Claudia Vanessa Rivera and her husband founded Finca La Virgen with the goal of producing exceptional coffee while creating a lasting, positive impact on both the environment and their local community. Today, that vision extends beyond the farm itself, supporting local employment and investing in the future of coffee production in northern Nicaragua.

Located in the Las Nubes community of Jinotega at 1,270 meters above sea level, the 40-hectare farm is home to Caturra and Catuai alongside carefully managed experimental plots of Java, Pacamara, Maracaturra, Maragogipe, and Gesha. By overseeing every stage of production, from harvest through processing in their own wet and dry mills, La Virgen maintains meticulous quality standards that have fueled remarkable growth over the years.

StoneX Specialty Coffee partnered with Claudia Rivera to develop a coffee that captures the classic character of Nicaragua while reflecting the exceptional craftsmanship of Finca La Virgen. The result is a bright, clean, and sweet cup with lively acidity and the balance, consistency, and quality that specialty roasters can rely on.
