Emilio and his father, Tuto Gamboa, are committed to quality and stability through building long-term relationships since 2006. They made the decision to create a micro mill and embarked on a journey to learn how to treat their coffee trees with greater care and devotion.
Montes de Oro has been a Pioneer in the Micro mill Revolution in Costa Rica. His coffees are positioned in the most demanding niches in USA, Japan and Korea. His father “don Tutto” Gamboa and him have kept Montes de Oro a place of passion and dedication to specialty Coffees.
In 2023, Emilio won 1st place in the EEVC 2023 Auction with a Geisha cultivar from his farm El Yasal at 2,000 masl.
Moving forward, their goal is to provide customers with exceptional coffee and add value to their product by always striving to give their best effort.
