At StoneX Specialty Coffee, we believe in honoring and uplifting women in coffee—not just for one day but for the entire month in celebration of Women's History Month. This month, we are dedicated to spotlighting the incredible women who drive our industry forward, from the producers to the roasters. We recognize their invaluable contributions at every step of the supply chain.

We’re kicking off this celebration by showcasing our Women-Produced Coffee, each offering an exceptional specialty coffee and a unique story of perseverance, passion, and hard work. These women are not just shaping coffee's future—they embody resilience and dedication in every cup.

Claudia Vanessa Rivera

Claudia Vanessa Rivera founded La Virgen in 2012 to improve the environment and the local community. Located in Las Nubes, Jinotega, Nicaragua, her 40-hectare farm produces high-quality coffee through responsible practices. Claudia grows varieties like Caturra, Catuai, Java, Pacamara, Maracaturra, Maragogipe, and Gesha, managing every step of production with meticulous care. Her commitment to quality control has allowed La Virgen to grow from 53 bags in its first year to 575 bags annually. Claudia’s dedication creates a classic Nicaraguan flavor profile—bright acidity and clean, sweet coffee- reflecting her exceptional standards.

Maria Jose Bernardes

Maria José Bernardes of Tachos' Farm, one of the region's oldest farms, produces exceptional coffee with a legacy dating back to 1780. The farm embraces sustainability, quality, and innovation through advanced practices and social initiatives. Tachos' dedication to community and environmental stewardship makes each cup a reflection of care and excellence. Maria recently competed in the prestigious Brazil Minasul Competition, where she earned 1st place for her outstanding woman-produced coffee and secured 2nd place for her exceptional natural-processed coffee.

Cibele Teodoro Borges

Fazenda Limoeiro, located in the Minas Gerais mountains, produces exceptional specialty coffee under the expertise of Cibele Teodoro Borges. With a deep-rooted connection to tradition and sustainability, Cibele ensures high-quality beans through her passion and dedication. With its mild climate and fertile soil, the farm's ideal terroir creates bold, flavorful coffee. Experience the essence of Minas Gerais in every cup, meticulously crafted by Cibele, who recently participated in the Brazil Minasul Competition and proudly earned 2nd place for her exceptional women-produced coffee.

Marjorie Pereira 

Marjorie Pereira’s journey begins in the heart of Três Corações City, where she oversees Ipê Farm, 1,000 meters above sea level in the rich lands of South Minas. Under her care, two extraordinary coffee varieties, Mundo Novo and Arara, thrive. Marjorie’s story is one of resilience—after losing her husband, she took on the farm with the unwavering support of her children, Janaina and Matheus. Today, they manage Ipê Farm and two flourishing coffee shops, offering visitors a journey from soil to cup. Each coffee produced reflects Marjorie’s strength, passion, and family legacy.

Isabela Lima Reis

Isabela Lima Reis, a third-generation coffee farmer from South Minas, oversees the production at Bela Vista, a 440-hectare farm. She cultivates varieties like Catucai, Catuai, Mundo Novo, Yellow Bourbon, and Arara with steep, handpicked fields and flat, mechanically harvested areas. Isabela’s meticulous care ensures high-quality coffee, with cherries naturally processed and dried on patios. Her dedication to quality and tradition carries forward her family’s legacy, producing exceptional coffee year after year.

Alma Yulieth

Alma Yulieth Castro manages Bellavista, a single estate in the Cajibío municipality of Cauca, Colombia. With 74 hectares of land and 55 coffee plants, Alma continues her late husband’s legacy. The farm produces high-quality coffee at 1,760 meters above sea level in the scenic Alto Cauca Valley. Alongside her children, Mónica and Mauricio, Alma ensures that Bellavista remains a symbol of dedication, tradition, and excellence in Colombian coffee production.

Women Groups in Huehuetenango, Guatemala

This exceptional coffee comes from a collective of 19 women-owned farms in Aldea Q’om and Canton El Plan, Huehuetenango, Guatemala. Nestled high in the remote mountains near the Mexican border, these women work together across 26 hectares of land, producing around 440 bags of coffee. Huehuetenango’s ideal growing conditions—altitudes up to 2,100 meters, volcanic soil, and a perfect climate—result in the region’s unique and sought-after coffees. Harvested between January and April, this coffee represents these women producers' strength, dedication, and collaboration, bringing their rich legacy to every cup.
