It all began on September 16, 1983, when Eduardo Rodrigues de Oliveira acquired the property and started cultivating its first coffee crops. Years later, in 1997, Eduardo's son-in-law Sebastião took ownership of the farm alongside his wife, Karla, and their partner Eduardo Moraes Ferreira. Together, they expanded their horizons, incorporating Fazenda Conquista (1999) and Fazenda Água Limpa (1998), creating the thriving enterprise that Fazenda Chapadão is today.
Karla, a visionary leader and passionate advocate for sustainable and high-quality coffee production, plays an integral role in the farm's operations. Alongside Sebastião and their three children—Rodrigo, Gabriel, and Gustavo—she brings a unique perspective and dedication to ensuring that every step of the process reflects the family’s values. Her influence is seen not only in the strategic management of the farm but also in the careful attention to detail that has become a hallmark of Fazenda Chapadão.
Nestled in the picturesque mountains of southern Minas Gerais, near the Serra da Boa Esperança State Park, Fazenda Chapadão enjoys an ideal location for growing exceptional coffee. With altitudes ranging from 1,200 to 1,400 meters, the farm’s microclimate and commitment to excellence result in beans celebrated for their flavor and aroma.
