Important Tariff Updates

We are committed to transparently managing the current tariff uncertainty and communicating as promptly as possible.  As you are likely aware, most countries are currently subject to a 10% tariff on all imports to the U.S., with China as a notable exception.  StoneX acts as the importer of record for green coffee and must pay the tariff amount to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Uncertainty remains around how the trade tariffs will be implemented. While it is possible that different countries might successfully negotiate with the administration, and tariffs could change. Green Coffee Association (GCA) terms and conditions incorporated into industry contracts outline that any tariff or duty imposed on goods is passed through to the buyer of the coffee. We hope you can also pass on any newly imposed direct costs to your customer. We recognize the burden these tariffs place on the coffee industry and can only hope that proactive communication and dialogue will assist in alleviating some of the associated burdens.
