Get To Know Gerra!

Gerra started in coffee pouring coffee out of glass decanters and over aerating milk for cappuccinos in beautiful Providence, Rhode Island.  Moving to Boston for college with the sole skill of making coffee, she continued to work as a barista to pay the bills.  It was there she learned what specialty coffee was; thoughtful buying of green coffee, investing in producer relationships and careful preparation were at the heart of it, and she was all in.

She spent 10 years working for a startup roaster developing their wholesale sales program and training program.  She founded the beloved Mid Atlantic Northeast Coffee conference and became a certified Q Grader.  She made the leap into green coffee in 2013 and has worked for both large and boutique importers, focusing on developing strong, impactful relationships with roasters across the United States.

She lives outside Boston with her husband, two daughters and one dog.
