The Story Behind Bendición Natural ML

This natural process microlot comes from Finca Bendición de Dios, located in the community of Encinal in the municipality of La Paz, within the Montecillos region. The farm sits at 1,500 meters above sea level and is owned by Denis Orlando Castillo Flores, a smallholder producer whose journey in coffee began by helping neighboring farmers in his youth.

Driven by a deep love for coffee cultivation, Denis gradually acquired parcels of land and committed himself fully to producing coffee. Through his work, he has improved his own quality of life and that of his community by providing jobs in both farm management and harvest seasons. Coffee has become a central source of income and pride in the region.

The farm is mostly shaded, creating a stable microclimate and helping to mitigate the effects of climate change. Denis is passionate about agroforestry, consistently planting shade species to ensure that all of his coffee plots grow under full canopy coverage. This microlot features the IHCAFE 90 variety and is naturally processed to bring out a rich and fruit-forward profile.
